IP data

Everything an IP address can tell you about location, network, company, and risk, in a single lookup.

IP data is the set of attributes that can be derived from an IP address: where it is located, which network announces it, who operates it, and how it behaves. Ipregistry aggregates these signals from regional Internet registries, BGP feeds, operator-published geofeeds, and its own measurement and threat analysis pipelines, then serves them through a single API and downloadable datasets refreshed daily.

Where IP data comes from

No single source knows everything about an IP address. Registration data from ARIN, RIPE NCC, APNIC, LACNIC and AFRINIC establishes who holds each range. BGP routing tables reveal which Autonomous System actually announces it. Operators publish RFC 8805 geofeeds that pin ranges to real service locations. Ipregistry cross-checks these sources against active measurements and applies community corrections, so conflicting claims get resolved instead of copied.

How teams use it

Product teams localize content, currencies and time zones from the geolocation fields. Security and fraud teams combine VPN and proxy detection with connection type to score risky traffic before it reaches checkout or login. Compliance teams use country data to enforce regional restrictions. Data teams enrich analytics and CRM records with company data in batch from the datasets.

API or datasets?

The REST API returns every category above in one JSON response, with sub-100ms latency from edge locations worldwide. You can try it on the home page with your own IP. The datasets ship the same data as CSV and MMDB files for offline scoring, batch enrichment, or air-gapped deployments. Both are backed by the same daily-refreshed pipeline, and pricing starts with 100,000 free lookups.
