This statement says what the ipregistry.co website and the Ipregistry dashboard store on your device, why, for how long, and how you control it. Your choice is made once and applies to both. It is part of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. The controller is Elaunira SARL, a French company trading as Ipregistry; its details are in the Terms of Use.
Cookies are small text records that a website places in your browser and reads back on later visits. The browser also offers "local storage" and "session storage", which work the same way without being sent with every request. The rules below apply to all of them, and to scripts from other companies that set their own cookies when they run on our pages. Cookies set by us are first-party; cookies set by another company's script are third-party.
Storing or reading anything on your device that is not strictly necessary for a service you asked for requires your consent (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, transposing article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, and articles 4(11), 6(1)(a) and 7 of the GDPR). Essential storage is exempt. Audience measurement that uses no cookie and stores nothing on your device falls outside that rule; we rely on our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used, and you can object to it.
Every cookie and storage entry, with its name, purpose, type, lifetime and who sets it, is listed on the cookie settings page, where you can also allow or refuse each purpose. In short:
Audience measurement with Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, so it runs without consent on the basis of our legitimate interest. The beacon is currently added by our hosting provider on every page; an opt-out switch will appear on the cookie settings page once we control it ourselves. Until then, you can block it with your browser or an extension without any effect on the site.
The first time you visit, a banner offers "Accept all" and "Reject all" as two identical buttons, and "Manage preferences" to decide purpose by purpose. Closing the banner rejects every optional purpose. Nothing optional is loaded until you have answered, and continuing to browse is not an answer.
Your choice is recorded in the _ipregistry_c cookie with the date and the version of this statement, and kept for 6 months. We ask again after that, or earlier if this statement changes in a way that matters. To change your mind at any time, open the cookie settings page from the footer of every page: withdrawing is as easy as allowing.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may stop parts of the site from working, for instance staying signed in to the dashboard.
We update this statement when the storage we use changes, and change the date at the top. A material change resets your choice so that the banner asks again.
